Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday said the observations of
Comptroller and Auditor General on coal block allocation issue were
disputable and asked the opposition to debate the matter in Parliament
to allow the country to judge where the truth lay. The Prime Minister
said that he wished to make a statement in the House on the issue but
the opposition did not give him the opportunity. Dr. Singh tried to
convey that he wanted to clear the air on the issue but the opposition
is unrelenting. The Lok Sabha was later ordered adjourned.
